Media World: Business Project #1 Edit
eg. "ESTABLISHING W/S WINDOW DETAIL". This proved a very efficient way of finding the strongest clips and enabled me to log the footage into final cut pro with ease and pick out the best shots easily. I am currently putting the shots into an assembly edit but here is a sneak preview of Mercier Road

Final Major Project: Primary Research
"A not-for-profit national food policy and advocacy organisation working to create sustainable and fair food systems. We work with communities, statutory agencies and businesses to raise awareness, support strategic change and encourage a sustainable approach to thinking about food" .I am looking to approach her for an interview regarding allotment and self sufficiency etc. I have her contact details and she could be very keen to help out. I will contact her in due course... Another place I have been recommended to look is Neighbourhoods Green
"Neighbourhoods Green began in 2003 when Peabody Trust and Notting Hill Housing Group identified the need to raise the profile of the green and open spaces owned and managed by social landlords."My plan is to take the contributors that have already expressed an interest in being in a film (see previous post) and incorporate the views of the above. * 3rdyears * Obviously this isnt set in stone for the FMP but I feel this could appeal to anyone interested in filming some real characters in our local area (Chatham - no long filming trips) it will appeal to people who are keen in cooking and self sufficiency (think Hugh Fearnely Whittingstall!). There could be a huge scope for some very interesting stories, shot and edited in some very cool ways and I have already confirmed or able to confirm all contributors so all this project needs is the green light! Let me know your thoughts!

Final Major Project: Primary Reseach
I am carrying out primary research for our final major project and I intend produce a short documentary focussed in on the Maidstone area. I wondered if you know of any stories or events I can follow up or any sources where I could obtain such information. The research stage is on-going with intention to shoot between September and November.I also sent a similar email out to David Reilly, the press officer for UCA. Yesterday I also went to Street End Allotments. Here I posted a note on the notice board here explaining Im looking to find people to be involved in a documentary. with 101 allotment owners there it seems a very interesting place! Watch this space.... The Film: Grown your Own
Final Major Project: The "connected" Documentary Genre
Emerging technologies like HTML5 and WebGL liberate film from the constraints of runtime—and there are storytelling opportunities that have yet to be explored or even imagined. Imagine how the web could supercharge documentary filmmaking, for instance. B-Roll that was once discarded can now find a useful half-life on the web. Virtual spaces can be created and explored on the web, leading to new understandings. Data can enrich a story and help untold stories emerge. Viewers can contribute time, money, and attention to help expand documentary projects. Subjects can be represented in more intimate ways than ever before. This working group will survey some of the possibilities in web-native documentary. Four projects will serve as case studies, and the participants will help the projects with practical advice to help get them off the ground.
